London Craft Week 2020 was originally from 27 April to 3 May. Due to the obvious, LCW has now made the decision to postpone the event and hold it between 30 September – 8 October 2020.
2020 will (hopefully – I don’t want to jinx it) be the 6th year this wonderful event is hosted in Englands Capital City (London, if you aren’t good with your trivia!). I am asking myself why I haven’t heard about the event until this year when I came across it in Elle Decoration. What is up with that? I wanted to research and let you all know more about it, if you was like me and hadn’t heard of it before. It seems such a shame if that’s the case as
What I could find out about LCW
LONDON CRAFT WEEK is a new annual, not-for-profit event which showcases exceptional craftsmanship through a journey-of-discovery programme featuring hidden workshops, celebrated makers, other lesser known makers and highly specialised skills alongside famous shops, galleries and luxury brands.
Founded on the ethos of making, LONDON CRAFT WEEK aims to put craftsmanship at centre stage of the world’s creative capital by introducing the talent, people and techniques behind beautifully made things to a wider audience. They will be able to experience craft not just as static branded objects in smart shops but understand the context of how they were made, why they are special and even have a try themselves.
What I couldn’t find out about LCW
A programme of what to expect from LCW in 2020. Instead I could only find last years programme! Still, it will give you an idea of what type of thing to expect.
I really can’t find much else and since I have looked for hours I actually give up now! Sorry this hasn’t been as insightful as I had hoped but nonetheless I hope its put Long Craft Week on your radar and hopefully you will be curious to find out more about it!
Remember, it is now the 30 September – 8 October 2020. I one day hope to be so lucky to be able to attend this event and to find much more about it so I can give you all a much better blog next time!!_x
